Roam Yellowstone Guiding was founded in 2020 by the company owner and guide, Todd Schlotfeldt.
"I am a lifelong Montana resident with local insight into Yellowstone and the surrounding area. I have a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science from Montana State University and I have professional medical training - I take guiding seriously! I come from a background of backpacking, mountaineering/rock & ice climbing, back-country skiing, fly fishing, and environmental science. My love for our public lands and natural resources led me to create a lifestyle where I can bring others to the places I love and share my passion."
Roam was created to provide the highest quality Yellowstone Experiences travelers can find. I supply highly entertaining and educational experiences on a Yellowstone adventure of your choice. My tours are hands-on; I provide maps and compasses to learn with, binoculars and scopes to spot wildlife with and scientific tools to deepen your understanding of the Yellowstone Ecosystem.

Not only do I guide to breathtaking locations, I also offer skills instruction and environmental education. With Roam Yellowstone Guiding, you have the option to learn about basic backcountry skills and the environment.
How we teach:
- We provide maps and compasses to learn with, bear spray, leave no trace flyers, and alitmeter/barrometers for tutorials and practical use
- We provide Infrared thermometers for hot springs, pH test kits to analyze water in Yellowstone and binoculars to closely examine wildlife
